Finland’s gaming organization Neogames explores the state of video games markets of China, Japan and South Korea in their latest study.

The report is just under 50 pages long. While the report does not encompass everything, it details the main challenges these markets are facing. You will, for example, learn:

  • what the new requirements are of the Chinese State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television (SAPPRFT)  that video games have to meet;
  • how Western developers should work with Japanese partners;
  • what you need to pay attention to when engaging Korean players.

The report relies on publicly available sources (all credited in the text), which represent an excellent selection of documents for those who want to better understand the key APAC market. The study was funded by the the Finnish Ministry of Culture and Education.
