Following the coronavirus lockdown, Surgeon Simulator developer Bossa Studios is shifting to a hybrid model allowing both remote and in-office work.
If they so choose, Bossa employees can now permanently work from home. At the same time, the London office remains open, with workers allowed to work from it or from a mix of locations “as best suits their working preferences and personal needs.”
The decision to shift to a hybrid model was made after 78% of employees said they expressly preferred working from home or were neutral on the prospect of returning to the office. 43% of staff actually said they are more productive at home. 11%, on the other hand, said they feel less productive when working remotely, while yet othes preferred to have at least some acces to an office work for their mental health.
Interestingly, 82% of management staff found that remote meetings were easier to run compared to in-person meetings.
