Focus Home Interactive has acquired The Surge developer Deck13 Interactive.
The publisher has paid €7.1 million (€6.5 million in cash and €0.6 million in shares) to acquire 100% of shares in Deck13.
The publisher is planning to make further purchases using the financing secured through five banks and Bpifrance Financement in February 2020.
Focus Home Interactive also said it will soon unveil several new titles, including an “extremely ambitious game” from developer Sumo Digita, described as an “online cooperative game in an ultra-violent fantasy world” expected to come out in late 2020 or early 2021. The company will also show first images of a “little gem” developed by Limestone Games, and reveal information on two Warhammer titles — a tactical game by Gasket Games, and an action game by StreumOn Studio.
