The ownership of the SystemShock3.com and SystemShock4.com websites has beent transferred from OtherSide Entertainment to Tencent Holdings.
This was first spotted by ResetEra user Mr. Tibbs.
Previously, the domains were registered to OtherSide’s Paul Neurath. OtherSide spent the last year desperately looking for investors, while multiple key employees departed from the company. In February, an anonymous developer claimed that System Shock 3 was no longer in development.
Well, the rumors of the game’s demise might have been exaggerated after all. The transfer of two System Shock websites to Tencent suggests that the project did find a much-needed investor. Tencent currently has stakes in over 800 companies including gaming giants like Epic Games, Activision Blizzard and Ubisoft.
