Konami has announced the removal of two Metal Gear Solid games from digital storefronts. The publisher said it has some issues with licenses for archive footage used in these titles.
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater will be temporarily removed from PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, GOG, and NVIDIA Shield stores on November 8. The same goes for MGS HD Collection for PS Vita.
The company is now working on “renewing the licenses for select historical archive footage used in-game.” The titles will be back for sale as soon as the problem is solved.
In other news about Konami, the publisher is rumored to be working on the Metal Gear 3 remake, which might be developed by Singaporean studio Virtuos.
