The issue of the dismissal of several dozen employees from Rockstar Games was raised at the latest session of the British Parliament.

Speaking to his colleagues, Member of Parliament Chris Murray reported that he recently met with representatives from Rockstar Games. During their conversation, the GTA developers were unable to demonstrate compliance with UK labor laws, leading Murray to doubt the official reason for the dismissals — the leak of internal information. He suspected that the studio was indeed attempting to suppress union formation.

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer responded by stating that the developments at Rockstar Games are “a cause for serious concern.” He promised to look into the situation and conduct an investigation.

A month ago, the British union, Independent Workers Union of Great Britain, filed a lawsuit against Rockstar Games over the dismissals, asserting that people were unlawfully deprived of their jobs.
