NCSoft has released its financial report for the second quarter ended June 30, 2024. Here are the key business metrics and top-performing games.

Financial highlights
- According to its new earnings release, NCSoft reached ₩368.8 billion ($270.3 million) in Q2 revenue, down 16% compared to the same period last year.
- Operating profit fell 75% year-over-year to ₩8.8 billion ($6.5 million), while net income grew 133% to ₩71.1 billion ($52.1 million).
- 65% of all revenue came from South Korea, while overseas sales accounted for 35% of the total.
- Mobile games accounted for 59% of NCSoft’s total sales in Q2. Lineage M remained the main source of revenue, with ₩106.9 billion ($78.4 million), followed by Lineage W (₩65.4 billion / $48 million), Lineage 2M (₩42.2 billion / $31 million), and Blade & Soul 2 (₩3.5 billion / $2.5 million).
- The share of PC online titles was 23%, with Lineage leading with ₩24.5 billion ($18 million). Other top games by revenue were Guild Wars 2 (₩23.4 billion / $17.2 million), Lineage 2 (₩21.2 billion / $15.5 million), AION (₩13.1 billion / $9.6 million), and Blade & Soul (₩3.8 billion / $2.8 million).
- Overall, the Lineage franchise accounted for 70% of NCSoft’s Q2 revenue.

NCSoft plans to diversify its IP portfolio, with the next step of its strategy focused on making games for global audiences and stepping into console development (in addition to PC and mobile). The company also wants to expand beyond just MMORPGs through casual and midcore titles (e.g. the recently launched MOBA Battle Crush).
Right now, NCSoft is working on several projects, including team-based RPG Hoyeon, RTS Project G, AION 2, MMO third-person shooter LLL, and interactive movie game Project M.
