Wuthering Waves has reached an impressive milestone in less than a month after its global launch. The game has now reached 30 million downloads globally.

Wuthering Waves approaches $40 million in mobile revenue, with total downloads reaching 30 million

Developer Kuro Games shared the news on social media, thanking players for their support. The studio added that it will “keep in constant efforts to improve Wuthering Waves.”

The 30 million milestone takes into account installs across all platforms: iOS, Android, and PC.

According to AppMagic, the game has already generated over 9.6 million on mobile. But keep in mind that the platform only tracks installs on the App Store and Google Play, excluding third-party Android stores.

China accounts for 24% of Wuthering Waves’ total downloads — over 2.2 million. These are all iOS users, but it is unclear how many Android users have already installed the game as Google Play is unavailable in the country.

AppMagic data also shows that Wuthering Waves has reached $39.2 million in IAP revenue (reduced by platform fees and inclusive taxes) on mobile since launch. Mainland China is the number one country by spending, accounting for 26% of the total. It is followed by Japan (22%), the US (16%), South Korea (14%), and Taiwan (6%).

June 6 was the game’s peak day by revenue, with $3.82 million. This is largely thanks to a special event and the release of the new 5-star character, Yinlin. After that, daily mobile revenue returned to its average of $1.3 million.

Wuthering Waves generated almost $10 million on iOS and Android in its first five days. Recent metrics also indicate a strong launch month for Kuro’s gacha game.
