WN Media Group has shared the data to sum up its latest conference, which took place on September 12-13 in Limassol, Cyprus. The event was attended by representatives of companies such as Google, Apple, Larian Studios, Saber Interactive, Owlcat Games, and Sensor Tower.

WN Cyprus’23 brought together 653 people from 351 companies. Half of them were game developers, followed by service providers (46%), publishers (29%), and investors (11%).

When looking at attendees, executives accounted for 70% of the total. Most of them (80%) came from Europe, followed by the MENA (8%), CIS (6%), and NORAM (4%) regions.

WN Media Group also organized the on-site developer showcase, which included 20 pre-selected games. Unity was the most popular engine, with 63% of titles made with it. It is followed by Unreal Engine 5 and 4 — 20% and 12% respectively.

Speaking of genres, Action accounted for 44% of the showcased games, followed by RPG (32%), Puzzle (29%), and Shooter (21%). The most popular platforms were PC (59%) and mobile — Android (64%) and iOS (59%).
