Daniel Mullins’ indie hit Inscryption has become the top winner at GDC. It made history as the only game to ever get top prizes at both the GDCA and the IGF Awards.

According to GDC, Inscryption took home Seumas McNally Grand Prize at the Independent Games Festival Awards. On top of that, the game was awarded for Excellence in Design, Excellence in Audio, and Excellence in Narrative.

Inscryption was also honored with Game of the Year at the Game Developers Choice Awards, where it competed with titles like Forza Horizon 5, Resident Evil Village, Deathloop, and It Takes Two.

This historical achievement is another milestone for Daniel Mullins’ critically acclaimed project, which has sold over 1 million units since its launch in October 2021. Inscryption was praised for its genre-bending gameplay, combining horror aesthetics with deckbuilding roguelike and keeping several mind-blowing tricks up its sleeve.
