Embracer Group has joined Interactive Software Federation of Europe (ISFE), the independent federation, representing the interests of the European video game industry.

Head-quartered in Sweden, Embracer is currently present globally though its eight operating groups: THQ Nordic GmbH, Koch Media GmbH/Deep Silver, Coffee Stain AB, Amplifier Game Invest, Saber Interactive, DECA Games, Gearbox Entertainment and Easybrain. The Group has 63 internal game development studios and employs more than 7,000 people in more than 40 countries.

The Group also owns over 240 franchises including Saints Row, Goat Simulator, Dead Island, World War Z, and Borderlands.

Embracer has already been a member of Dataspelsbranschen, the trade organization for the Swedish video games industry. Now, following a period of active growth, the Group has joined ISFE as it sees “the benefit of bringing on a European scope as well.”

The ISFE membership gives Embracer better representation to EU institutions, international organisations, academics, and the general public. Other ISFE members include Activision Blizzard, Bungie, EA, Epic Games, Microsoft, Roblox, Sega, SIE, Ubisoft and others.
