Project Athia is now officially named Forspoken. Square Enix has shared new details about the upcoming project and showed its gameplay footage.
The publisher shared the news during the Square Enix Presents digital showcase on March 18. Forspoken, previously known as Project Athia, will come out on PC and PS5 in 2022.
The game is dedicated to the adventures of a young woman named Frey in the dangerous fantasy land of Athia. The protagonist will be portrayed by actress Ella Balinska, best known for her role in the “Charlie’s Angels” 2019 reboot.
Forspoken is developed by Luminous Productions, who previously worked on Final Fantasy XV. Developers also shared a gameplay video of their upcoming title.
Square Enix showed a lot of games during its latest event. Life Is Strange: True Colors was definitely the biggest announcement of the night, with the title coming out on September 10. The company also shared news about Tomb Rider Definitive Survivor Trilogy, Outriders, as well as mobile games based on the Just Cause and Hitman franchises.
