Back in September, MicroProse said it would focus on releasing strategy games and simulators. That they did, as is clear from their current lineup: Second Front, Task Force Admiral and Sea Power: Naval Combat in the Missile Age. No release dates have been announced.

Earlier, MicroProse mentioned the development of another military-themed title called Warbirds 2020. The official announcement was planned for the beginning of the year, but it is not listed on the publisher’s site at this time.

MicroProse was founded in 1982 by Sid Meier and Bill Stealy. After Meyer left to found Firaxis Games, the were several buyout attempts. In the early 2000s, the company was closed, but last year MicroProse was bought David Lagetti. He revived the company and managed to bring back Bill Styles.

MicroProse is best known as the publisher of the first two Civilizations, the Master of Orion series, fantasy strategy game Master of Magic, the original X-COM, and the Transport Tycoon franchise .
