Publisher tinyBuild expands the Hello Neighbor franchise to an animated TV series. A week ago, a pilot episode of the eponymous web series was released. To date, nearly 11 million people have watched the episode on YouTube.
The pilot was initially drafted by the creator of the best selling Hello Neighbor book series, Carly Anne West. The four books by West have sold over 2 million copies and generated $16 million in revenue.
According to the press release, tinyBuild CEO Alex Nichiporchik co-produced the pilot “to do a proof of concept pilot first to see exactly how many fans would become interested.” The publisher ideally intends for the Hello Neighbor animated TV series “to tie into other game projects, building to the next game in the series.”
Seattle-based indie label tinyBuild has released three Hello Neighbor games which generated 30 million installs combined.
