French mobile games start-up Million Victories has raised $1.4m to scale up the team.
The figure was revealed by the developers to PocketGamer.biz. The studio founders did not disclose who their investors were.
The money will allow the studio to expand the team currently consisting of 14 people. It will also fund the promotion campaign prior to the game’s release in September 2019.
Million Lords is a mobile strategy. The idea was to create a casual 4X alternative for midcore players. The developers expect user acquisition for the title to be less expensive that having to engage hardcore fans of 4X titles.
The project is in open beta right now. The game is already nearing a positive ROI and has 100,000 players. The ARPDAU is $0.50, while Day 1 retention is 35%.
