The first details of the WN Yerevan’26 program have emerged—a business event for game developers and publishers, which, with the support of App2Top, will take place in the capital of Armenia in just a few weeks. Here’s what to expect from the event.
WN Yerevan’26 will be held on October 15 and 16. The event’s format implies a lot of networking, so participants will actively work in groups, share experiences, and discuss various topics over the two days. There will also be a lecture part, featuring representatives from Armenian and international gaming companies, including employees from Saber Interactive, Playkot, Take Top Entertainment, Herocraft, MY.GAMES, Noor Games, and Rockbite Games.
Here are some planned talks and discussions:
- WN Yerevan’26 will host a panel discussion titled “Made in Yerevan: Talent, Traction and the Road to Global Scale”. Participants will include Narek Agekyan, head of Noor Games; Avetis Zaharyan, head of Rockbite Games; Ara Agamyan, head of Triada Studio Games; and David Sukiasyan, head of ArmNomads;
- one of the round tables will focus on investments with the theme “Capital Without Borders? Funding Paths for Game Studios from CIS and Beyond”. It will be moderated by Triple Dragon CEO Pieter van der Pijl;
- another round table will center on artificial intelligence, discussing how AI is redefining studio workflows and responsibilities;
- Maxim Ostanin, senior game designer at Saber Interactive, will dissect, using Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 as an example, why achievements are a full-fledged system that impacts player experience as much as gameplay itself. He will explain how they can be used to introduce game content and create memorable moments;
- Anton Tokarev, co-founder of the indie studio DIASURA Team, will talk about creating a showcase capable of capturing the interest of players, investors, and publishers. Using a horror game as an example, he will demonstrate how to manipulate audience attention and evoke strong emotions from a project, even if it is still in the early development stage;
- community manager from Playkot, Alina Stepanova, will share tips on handling player feedback during her presentation.
WN Yerevan’26 will also feature a traditional expo area with sponsor booths. This time, platforms like ggsel and Bidease will be among them.
The event will also host a developer exhibition by independent teams and an indie pitch—a presentation directly before investors and industry experts. Those wishing to participate in both activities must submit their applications by October 9. Please note that selection for the indie pitch is separate from the exhibition.
The event will conclude with a large game development party, accessible only to premium ticket holders.
Currently, tickets for WN Yerevan’26 are available at a discount. Prices start at 399 euros for developers and publishers and 1199 euros for service providers. Prices will increase later, so act quickly. If you miss the end of the sale, you can use the WN Wishlist feature to extend the discount for a week.
WN Yerevan’26 will take place in the conference halls of the modern five-star hotel Alexander, located in the heart of Yerevan at 3/4 Abovyan Street.
