The “console war” is heating as users compare the specifications of upcoming PS5 and Xbox Series X. Head of Xbox Phil Spencer shared his view of the situation.

Talking to IGN, Spencer noted that for those who are now comparing teraflops, features and game lineups for both consoles, the price will ultimately be more important.

“Price will be important as well. In the end if you look at it, price is usually a critical factor. I think if we look back at this generation at the beginning, I don’t think the difference was the games,” said Phil Spencer.

According to him, the high cost of Xbox One in comparison with the PS4 made the latter more popular at launch. In case you need a reminder, the consoles cost $499 and $399, respectively.
