Shares of EA and other video game companies plummet after Trump links games to mass shootings
Acts of violence are once again blamed on video games. US President Donald Trump implicated games as the reason for two shootings in Texas that killed more than 30 people. Following Trump’s speech, biggest game publishers saw their shares sink.

Ooblets developers shocked by backlash over their “thing” with EGS
Glumberland, the indie studio behind Ooblets, signed a temporary PC exclusivity deal with Epic Games Store. The reaction of the community was overwhelmingly harsh, with the two-people studio of Rebecca Cordingley and Ben Wasser getting “thousands if not tens of thousands of hateful, threatening messages.”
