Telltale, a studio revived after a full closure a few years ago, has been hit with layoffs. It is unclear how this move might affect games like The Wolf Among Us 2.

While a certain The Wolf Among Us 2 developer update was rumored to take place at The Game Awards, it never happened, as we now know. The update, however, did arrive in the form of a tweet from Telltale’s community manager.

The Wolf Among Us Season 2 teaser trailer and a minute-long developer update video will be shown at The Game Awards, according to a post on subreddit GamingLeaksAndRumours.

Remember how back in August LCG Entertainment resurrected Telltale Games? The new studio is now bringing back one of Telltale’ most beloved titles. The Wolf Among Us 2 is officially in development, as announced at The Game Awards.

Telltale Games, which essentially shut down in September last year, is returning under the new management. The studio’s assets were bought by a company called LCG Entertainment.

Striking Distance, the studio working on an undisclosed “original narrative experience in the PUBG Universe,” hired former Call of Duty and Dead Space developers, as well as three former Telltale Games artists.

GOG announced on its blog that it will have to delist Telltale’s library of games. The titles will permanently disappear from the catalogue on May 27 due to the company’s closure last year.
