Twich viewership reached 1.2 billion hours in March, which is 23 percent up from February.

This is according to Streamlabs and Stream Hatchet, as reported by Engadget.

The number of channels on Twitch has grown by 33 percent.

The data shows the lockdown is affecting both viewers and content creators.

The same is happening on other streaming platforms. Microsoft’s Mixer saw an increase of 15.9 percent, while YouTube experienced a 10 percent upswing. Facebook Gaming only saw a 3.8 percent difference.
